| If you’re looking to create the perfect pantry for your house, we’ve got a few tips to get you closer to that goal. While your pantry may not look like the one on the right (not many pantries do), it doesn’t mean you can’t have a very nice and organized pantry for a fraction of the space required.
1. First, think of what a pantry should have in it. A well-stocked pantry makes everything easier for the people living in your house. Food, snacks, spices are just the beginning. To figure out what goes into your pantry, you have to consider what your lifestyle dictates. For example, if you have kids and they love heating up a can of soup after school, have a section for those cans within easy reach. The point of organizing a pantry is to have everything placed for easy access, and perhaps the most frequently grabbed things placed right up front. |

| 2. Label. This is important. Shelves should be labeled so everyone in the household knows where to put things, and where to find things. Items that don’t get used up quickly can be labeled too, so instead of a big can of ambiguous baking soda, you have a big can of ambiguous baking soda labeled “BAKING SODA”. Labeling shelves also give you more control, because you know if you don’t, everyone in the family will be putting things everywhere. What would be the point of reading this article then?
3. Group similar items together. Spices with salt, cooking supplies, seasoning. Flour with rice, beans, lentil. Canned fruits with canned corn.
4. Use a lazy susan or mobile stands / serving carts to store supplies that you can quickly bring out. This works best for salt, soy sauce, olive oil, and just about anything that might be used almost nightly, or for cooking.
5. Purchase some creative organizing containers that could help space items out, and give you the flexibility to change the pantry based on the growing needs of your housemates.
With these simple ideas, you will be well on your way to organizing the perfect pantry. |

Looking for a nice night out with some friends or for a date? I had a pretty good time with friends at the Boiling Crab in Alhambra on Thursday night with its nice street and casual style ambience of wood tables and benches that is actually well kept and clean despite the way the food is served to you.
The one I went to was in So Cal: 742 W. Valley Blvd, Alhambra, CA 91803 / 626.576.9368 (You can visit their website for more locations in Garden Grove, and even Texas! http://www.theboilingcrab.com/)
Look to spend about $25 – $45 per person for some really good seafood in Cajun style and lemon butter sauces.
I recommend the Shrimp and corn, oh how that corn soaks up all the flavor from the juice.
If you are waiting, I recommend sitting at the bar to get nice $3 domestic ice cold beer, their cajun fries, and hot wings while you wait. They’ll open up tab for you to carry over to your dinner table.
Well, if it is a date, might I warn you that there are no forks or knives for eating. All they do is put everything you order (crab, crayfish, shrimp, corn, etc.) into a big plastic bag with the sauce your order and a large piece of French Style dining paper to cover your table top. So you’ll be eating with your hands.
You are going to be eating picnic style on the wood tables and wood benches they set up in and around the restaurant. Great place for some family fun, good deals on fresh seafood, and, best of all, very delicious.

After a brief conversation with a good friend of mine, it seems that dogs have a sort of a canine intelligence hierarchy that classifies intelligence based by their breed type. A psychologist named Stanley Coren, a professor at the University of British Columbia, wrote a book entitled The Intelligence of Dogs that discusses canine breeds intelligence published in 1994. Coren used simple psychological tests such as “understanding of new commands” and “obey first command” as the ’standards’ of intelligence outlined in his book.

However, Wikipedia explains “While this method of ordering dog intelligence is acceptable for training and working with dogs, it does not apply to the genetic intelligence which can be measured by ingenuity and understanding of common situations. Some dog breeds may be lower on the list due to their stubborn nature, but this nature does not make them unintelligent or impossible to train.”
This reminds me of a college class I attended on “Westernization of Native tribes in the 1800s”. In 1800s, many European countries criss-crossed the ocean sprouting colonies where ever they landed. One of the key components of assimilation between the cultures was the studying and the categorizing of the natives to the Western culture. The reason being was that European colonist needed a way to understand their cultures and the way to give authority to the different tribes.
Colonists would measure and calculate so that they could determine which tribe was the best suited as the “leaders” of the surrounding areas. Some examples of these measurements were simple measurements based on skull size and inherited physical traits. In my opinion, I have never understood the need to classify such things. Of course, measurements of IQ and ability to do work is vastly important, but that does not mean that senseless measurements should classify intelligence in such a broad manner.
Generally, people take information from studies and tests at face value and unless you really pay attention to every detail it would be hard not to make judgments based on the information presented at face value. Listed below is Wikipedia’s top breeds, however please visit Wiki’s entire list.
