Just a random thought about wines I’ve been trying from France vs. Australia.
Very simply put -
French wines are traditional and use a cork
Australian wines (most of them) are using a metal twist on cap.
French wines are lighter body.
Australian wines have more body.
Tough choice.
I drink merlot mostly and find that Australian wines have good aroma, smooth to taste and the after taste is just exquisite. French wines for merlot on the other hand are a little watery for me (hence the lighter body) but they have the cork and not a metal cap.
But in the end, wines should be enjoyed for their taste and not their presentation or price.
