Moving on to the traditional style research for my interior design “adventure”, I’ve come to find it very popular among American tastes. The traditional interior seems to encompass detail that lends to tasteful elegance.
Traditional and Contemporary?
I came across Windsor Smith Home design the other day and wanted to feature some of their work. Mostly traditional in theme, I like their “contemporary” touch that has nicely complemented the traditional interiors. Let’s take a l@@k!
East Coast Traditional
Despite the default definition of dark woods and a lot of detail in traditional style, I really like the lighter colors used in this East Coast traditional home. The details in the carvings and the borders look very elegant and give a cottage and warm welcome feel with the lighter walls and fabrics.
A Georgian Estate
This is a nice dining room with the use of ceiling moldings and mix and match contemporary parsons chairs.
New England Farmhouse
Beach House - again the use of a light colored theme makes me like this beach house a lot; it’s almost a mix and match traditional-contemporary dream.
Love this view! (Goes good with any interior, heehee)

I love these traditional interior design inspirations. Kind of lends to my taste, but I prefer just a little less detail that traditional designs emphasize on and love the use of lighter colors. Until next time! Have a good day/week
