On my initial post in exploring rustic interiors, I wasn’t too fond of the wood heavy colors in rustic interiors. Until I was browsing rustic interior architect designer projects by Locati Architects. Wow.
The Grandeur of Rustic
Yup, wow was my expression when I saw these Locati projects. I mean, I’ve been up in the mountains in Tahoe and Mammoth and have stayed in the mountain lodges which are usually themed in the lodge/rustic style. But I realized I haven’t seen what grandeur rustic style can have until I saw the following. See for yourself.
I don’t know if it’s the view or the high ceilings but everything looks so right in it’s place in this interior.
The stone, the wood, the snow capped mountains. Mmmmmm.
Again, perfect setting, perfect view….. Oh, I can’t wait to go skiing again!
The weathered edges on the black bookcase is a nice and lovely touch.
Different designers, different tastes even in the same style
These are just a small sample of the rustic interior styles I found from Locati Architects. You can find my more at their Official Locati Interiors page. What do you think about this second batch of rustic style inspirations? I’m starting to see how it can look good, but it still is not my preferred style of course.

I am not personally into the “rustic” look, but looking at these pictures, I could see myself living in them.
@kathy I agree. I guess styles can be “stereotypical” sometimes. And when you look into them further you’ll find that there’s more depth to each style than you think.
