I’ve recently been losing sleep on my ever flattening pillow that is almost 10 years old. So I decided to get rid of it and, in search for better sleep at night, I tested out one of my company’s products, the Visco Elastic Memory Foam Pillow.

Of course, our's is better.
Brand Names
Of course, my company’s product is called Visco Elastic and for sure there is that company called Tempur Pedic with their lovely smiling faces on their ads using their pillows. So I was lucky enough where my fiance’s sister lent me her brand name Tempur Pedic pillow to test out as well. And I was expecting the brand name pillow to be better, and so I thought…
No Bias Here
I’m seriously not trying to push my company’s product. I’m just being honest because I’ll tell you the facts and you can decide for yourself. Ok, so I slept on a flat pillow which didn’t give me high enough support causing my neck and upper back to be tired and tight the next day. So I would say based on the size and height, the “neck pillow” (which means the pillow is contoured shaped like in the picture above to fit ergonomically to your head shape and neck) does give that height support where your neck curves in causing less stress on your back and neck muscles during sleep.
Now here comes the difference
I think this may or may not be personal preference. So Visiondecor’s visco elastic pillow is softer whereas the Tempur-pedic is firmer. Now softer was my preference because it fit to my head and neck shape easier and it was more “doughy” feeling. The firmer Tempur-pedic pillow was hard at first and took a while to mold to my shape, but overall it was a little too firm and felt more like week-old french bread where it still is soft but a little hardened to sleep on. I personally prefer “doughy” both in my pillow and in the breads I eat,
.
The Cost
Now aside from comfort which I think the Visco Elastic Memory Foam pillow is my preference because of the doughy feel compared to the firm dry bread feel of the Tempur-pedic pillow, the cost does come into play. Hands down, Visiondecor’s pillow is cheaper ($58.15, $46 plus $12.15 shipping) vs. $165.50 for Tempur-pedic’s pillow ($159 plus $6.50 shipping). I gave both a try and got good sleep, and now I can sleep better knowing I even saved a few bucks.
Sweet dreams everyone.
