The ETSY Difference

by ericl on January 9, 2009

Mass made products are getting boring.  3 of my co-workers have the same iPhone.  Almost everybody has the same Dell computer in the office.  I even wear the same exact style boxers as my sales manager (the heart one’s from express, haha).  Ok, before going into further detail, you get my point?  I am looking for being unique!  But what do I do when everything we buy is made in mass amounts?

ETSY to the Rescue
Since coming out of my hole as of recent, I heard of ETSY.  It stands for… actually, I don’t really know (but I did talk about it in A Handmade Name: ETSY). Anyways, it is the rave in the last few years for all things hand made.  Since humans aren’t perfect, most items hand made (even over and over again) are quite unique.  Something to make me different, yay!

Grizzly Bear Boxers
Like my boxers, I am certain Tim (my sales guy) doesn’t have a pair of these:

Different and a little personalized.  (Link to Item)

Mother-Board Art
Or even an art print of the insides of a computer can make my work area a bit diffrent:

Maybe I’ll get one of these for the IT room at the office. (Link to Item)

Warm Up a Cold Phone
It’s also getting kind of cold in the US lately (did you know it snowed in vegas?).  So my co-workers should get an iPhone Fleece Jacket case (different one’s of course) to keep their phones from catching a cold:

The Human Touch
I love browsing ETSY for all these never before seen things.  Next time you buy a “boring” piece of furniture from us, I suggest you get some Art decor from ETSY to dress it up!

Would be nice in an entryway.

It is exciting to know I will be able to define myself through the human touch of the hand made with ETSY’s unique products.
