I did my fair share of investment and rode my fair share of stock chart roller coasters. But sometimes you get lost and look for what others have to say. And one pet peeve that really gets to me are the misleading and inappropriate comments people make on financial message boards.
Just by going to the QQQQ message boards on Yahoo! Finance, you can see a lot of emotionally distraught and negative people flooding the message boards with irrelevant information.
Well, everyone at home thinks about their future, and in one time or another you will be faced with investing. So here’s a tip of advice, don’t listen to anyone on the internet regarding specific actions to take on investing. Some of these people are crazy! Like what does this have to do with investing in the QQQQ Shares: “Damn it, if you call me a racist one more time, I will stop posting on this board“?
So here’s some common sense advice. Use common sense. Invest for the long term. And don’t invest in anything you “heard about from someone.” That’s it for home ec pet peeve of the week!
