Having trouble downloading Google’s new web browser Chrome? You are not alone. It seems that Google’s newly unveiled web browser is either highly popular or Google is working out a few more bugs before launching.

So far, any search containing “google chrome download” is leading search engines to this address:
http://gears.google.com/chrome/?hl=en
But then it just simply goes to the front page! If you visit the root URL http://gears.google.com, it only allows you to download the gears plugin:
Gears is an open source project that enables more powerful web applications, by adding new features to your web browser:
Desktop Let web applications interact naturally with your desktop.
Database Store data locally in a fully-searchable database
WorkerPool Run JavaScript in the background to improve performance
Most website administrators are anxious to see what Google has to offer because a completely new web browser will change the way people code their website. Currently Visiondecor Furniture, as well as the Visiondecor blog and Visiondecor search pages, are all optimized for FireFox and Internet explorer. With the addition to Chrome, administrators have to do extensive testing on whether or not images and html will be displayed correctly.
Stay tuned!
UPDATE #1: Downloading will be available around Google’s press conference time 11:00 am PDT!
UPDATE #2: It’s live: http://gears.google.com/chrome/?hl=en (12pm PDT)
