Summer Home Furniture Colors
| Summer is a time to revamp the colors in your home, from furniture to cushions to bedding. Every summer has a new color trend, and this summer was no different. It’s never too late to include the latest styles in your home, so I’ll go over the basics that you need to remember for this summer.While light colors are always in during warm seasons, such as white, off-white, and light pastels, this summer we are seeing more fashion forward color trends such as cremes and browns, as well as bold blues and burgundy. A good mix would be a light pastel or a white/off-white with with a bold color such as burgundy, navy blue, or green.Green and pastel green are solid foundation colors this summer, and you’ll notice almost every home decorating catalogue or magazine is full of this. I suggest a pastel green like the one shown to the right, mixed with a light off-white. This is perfect for pillows and blankets to match a white or creme couch set.This summer (and yes, I know summer is almost over) was defined by bold colors mixing with whites. Keep this in mind when decorating, and you’ll have something fresh to last you all the way till 2009. |
