Summer is in mid-stride and many people have been holding summer pool parties and bbqs that not only are fun but also very educational. I have gone to a few summer parties and I have found some great tips on how to throw a party that not only looks great, but easy to setup, eat up, and/or put away for the summer:

- Christmas lighting! You can easily put up some white Christmas lighting for additional lights and much needed ambiance to your back yard. Simply twist them up a post or around the deck for more decorations.
- Cook your own dinner! You can easily steam or boil chicken or ribs and have your guests cook their food to perfection. Have an assortment of bbq sauce and flavors and let them bbq the food until they are satisfied!
- Cooking in foil. Get some hefty duty foil paper and make envelops of single serving recipes. Anything from scallops, pasta, and olive oil to mushrooms, bacon, and shrimp would taste great steamed on the grill.
- Ice shot glass! How much fun is it to drink ice cold shots from an ice shot glass. Just find the mold online, then make a couple dozen for you and your friends.
So hose down your outdoor living furniture, fire up your BBQ, and have a fun safe 2008 Summer.
