The Urban Cactus is an innovative Condominium slated for construction on Rotterdam, Netherlands. As you can see on the following images, the design of this proposed 98 unit, 19 story condominium is breathtaking. The theme is extreme open space and maximum sunlight for each level, which is achieved by staggering the outdoor patios of each residence. And the terraces are extremely large, designed for outdoor space and gardens. The irregular design also maximizes indoor sunlight from multiple angles. I can only hope that this smart design will spawn copycats and even more innovative structures Stateside. While not quite built yet, the innovative design of the Urban Cactus Condominium is more than enough to excite a decorator, who would probably lose sleep over what kind of sleek home furnishings would be appropriate for this 21st Century residence. |
