When you are buying a dining table be sure you go through these quick tips to make sure you are making the right purchase for yourself. Here are my “Three D’s” of buying a Dining Table:
Design. Think about what you prefer when the people in your home and friends and family sit together at the dinner table. A square or rectangular shaped design is very common, but I recommend a circular shape because it not only saves room but conversations are carried out in a more centric way where everyone has the ability to converse with each other.
Durability. How are you going to use your dining table? Is it going to be just a quick breakfast nook table or used in a formal dining are for hosting guests? Because depending on what you serve, who you serve, and how much serving is done this will determine the need for a simple table or a sturdy solid wood formal dining set. It needs to last as much as you are going to use it and how you will use it, so think about how durable it needs to be in serving your dining capacity desires.
Dimensions. This is very important when you choose the size of your dining table to fit the room it is going to be in of which it needs to allow for walk ways, movement, but not be too small where it looks like a toy compared to the size of the walls. And don’t get into the mistake of getting a 4 seater and thinking it will be ok for 6 by adding two chairs, because you need to remember that with more people at the table, you need more serving space and space to place the dinnerware for eating.
