The biggest subject about furniture on the environment is about the trees that need to be cut down to make the furniture. A large percentage of furniture is manufactured in Asia and many of them use black market traded wood from non-environmental forest wood-harvesting practices. Rest assured that Visiondecor supports the values of the Forest Stewardship Council and upholds the practices outlined by their standards whenever knowledgeable as we screen suppliers for quality control.

The Forest Stewardship Council regulates the way wood is harvested from specific forests and the manufacturers that get certified are ones that have been verified to uphold those standards. The only problem is that it is hard to determine which products you buy are certified. However, the progress and standards they set are renewing the industry in following practices that are eco-friendly. Visiondecor hopes to bring a series of articles that focus on these values so that we can help you, our valued customers, in making decisions on buying products that are based on ethical and environmental supplier fundamentals.
