Most of the west coast, especially California, has been covered in rain for the past few weeks. This is coming off of one of the longest droughts that California has seen in the last 15 years. The rain, which is uncommon to most Southern Californians as losing is to the New England Patriots, has not only effected the moods and the driving styles of Californian’s, but also the buying habits.
There are two industries that are very content when it comes to rain. The auto repair industry has seen significant increase in sales and business when it rains in Southern California. Apparently, water and Southern California drivers do not mix according to the increase amounts of accidents and fender benders resulting from slick roads and highways. The other industry that sees an increase in sales are online sales channels like Amazon and even Visiondecor Furniture.
The data suggests that buyers who are affected by the current weather conditions spend more time online surfing the web and making purchases over the internet. From books, DVDs, to floor lamps, most internet sales channels see a small spike in sales come rainy season. It seems that the more often people stay in doors the more likely they are to purchase items from the internet.
Regardless of rain or shine, the best deals can come from the internet. No matter what season it is, almost all retailers are happy to provide you with the latest savings and the biggest deals.
