How 2007 will ruin your Holiday Season

by futonL on December 7, 2007

Growing up in Southern California, I have never really experienced a “Winter Wonderland”. At best, I would be driving in home in the rain but snow, never. Now, with Global Warming more people worldwide experience “winterless” holiday season. It’s already into the second week of December, and I can still wear shorts outside.

Will it stop there? Are other songs endangered in becoming meaningless songs? Frosty the Snowman, Let is Snow!, White Christmas? Here are some suggestions to replace those songs because they are more applicable than the traditional songs:

Instead of Frosty the Snowman, you could instead sing, Trashy the Landfill, and it can be about how we are contaminating the earth:

Trashy the Landfill was a smelly empty hole
With some PVC pipe and a iPod nose, and two eyes made out of bulbs.

Instead of Let is Snow, you could instead sing, “Let it Fall” and it can be about the federal interest rate.

Oh, the economy outside is frightful,
and the oil prices are so delightful,
and since we’ve got a few weeks left to go,
Let it fall, Let it fall, Let it fall.

Instead of White Christmas, we should sing about a Profitable Christmas.

I’m dreaming about a Profitable Christmas,
Just like the one I use to know,
Where our profit margin rising,
And the housing market booming,
To see our US dollar grow…

Lastly, the crowd favorite, George Bush our silly President:

You know Washington, Adams, Jackson and Lincoln. Roosevelt, Truman, Ronald, and Clinton, but you do recall, the most famous president of all, George Bush our silly President, had a very powerful dad. And when he took to office, he didn’t even have enough votes. All of the other Senators, use to laugh and call him names, they never let poor George Bush, play any politician games.

Have a great Christmas!

Happy Holidays
