2007 Holiday Season: Santa Claus Doing OT

by futonL on December 6, 2007

As Christmas time nears, there is much hustle and bustle over gift buying and celebrating one of the most happiest times of the year.

Not only are we running around trying to keep up with the holiday spirit, there is also someone who has been working overtime, Santa Claus.

Santa Working

This is one of the biggest seasons for the big red man who lives up in the North Pole. Santa Claus has been working non-stop since August either at his home office or at the corporate office. Despite increased fuel charges (because Santa is very environmentally friendly, he uses reindeer-power and solar energy) and a slow economy he was able to get by by cutting costs wherever possible (Santa has been known to cut cost by using more elf-labor rather than outsourcing work to other countries.)

In 2007, there was much concern over toy production and manufacturing defects coming from China. When asked about the Made in China issue, he replied, “I have talked it over with the major toy manufacturing companies and we have come to an agreement.” The agreement was to allow children to play with toys so long as they have disclaimers and parents are educated about manufacturing defects and not jump into conclusions about what is safely made from any manufacturing country, not just China.

After discussing the 2007 Holiday season, we asked Santa what does Mrs. Claus do when you are at the office. Santa replied “Mrs. Claus has been redecorating the home getting ready for my vacation in 2008.” The Claus’ purchased a brand new home theater seating set for their living room.

Why a new sofa set? That’s obvious, it’s to catch up on all the television shows on Tivo once Christmas is over. We should have guessed.
